Marzahn-Hellersdorf is a peaceful residential borough with several highlights that make this place interesting for visitors. At the times of GDR, this area was built up with high-rise blocks. Now many of these typical constructions are refurbished with bright colours and look pretty nice.

Moreover, these buildings hide many surprises, such as a medieval village of Alt-Marzahn with cobbled streets and a windmill that still works. Except this, Marzahn-Hellersdorf has a few historic venues such as Biesdorf Palace and Alte Börse that have been converted into exhibition centres.

The main attraction of Marzahn-Hellersdorf is a large landscaped park called the Gardens of the World. Take the cable car ride and enjoy a spectacular panorama of this green oasis!
